For many years, the abortion issues has been a major problem in society, but never has it caused so much friction as it has today. The current issue has caused court cases and other argumentative problems. The question is, "should women be able to choose?" This question has caused so much controversy between both parties (pro life and pro choice). Yesterday, Governor Ray Grover argued with Dr.Karen Booker about this issue stating that "women shouldn't have the right to choose, babies should have the right to live!" Dr. Booker was against his statement and said "Yes babies should have the right to live but women should also have the right to have a choice on something huge like abortion."Her argument was that, whatever choice women decide to make it will effect their future and not anyone else. Governor Grover's argument was that, the choice that women make doesn't just effect them, it effects the baby and possibly the world, saying that the next baby could find the cure for cancer or anything else that has never been done. Three hours after the heated debate, the citizens of downtown Philadelphia started a protest for "Pro Choice" with slogans such as "women should have a choice" and "Freedom: Right to choose". This protest started another protest with citizens from North Philadelphia area, supporting Governor Grover, with the slogan "Let me live" spray painted on shirts, pregnant woman's stomache and white display boards!
